Has anyone started a Outpatient CDI program and began in the ER? Is anyone currently doing Outpatient CDI in the ER? If so can you share some insight?

There are also a number of past ACDIS Conference presentations on CDI in the ER available under the "Resource Library" tab of the ACDIS website. All the presentations do include the speakers' email addresses, so that might be helpful too.
Kristie, what is your focus in the ED? are you working to capture diagnoses prior to inpatient admission? or are you reviewing to improve E&M? medical necessity and clarifying obs versus admits? charge capture? There are a number of different focci that you could impact. identifying your specific focus will assist in your program.
